Mechanical Technician

This is a Temp to Hire Position.

Shift Timings : 7 AM to 7 PM (4 days a week)

We have both 1st and 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic shop tasks, including electropolishing, passivation, 02 cleaning and other special processes, under direct supervision as needed to support metal finishing projects

• Prepare metal surfaces for finishing, polishing, or repair by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and deburring

• Perform mechanical polishing using tools such as grinders, buffers, and sanders to achieve required surface finishes

• Support experienced metal finishers and technicians on larger or more complex field and shop projects

• Conduct basic quality checks to ensure finished surfaces meet Talica’s quality and appearance standards and log results on job and time sheets provided with the work order.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at all times and be prepared to clean when so directed.

• Follow all safety protocols and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings

• Participate in training sessions to build technical skills, industry knowledge, and finishing techniques

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided

• Strong attention to detail with an interest in craftsmanship and surface quality

• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team

• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools

• Commitment to safety, quality, and Talica’s operating standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods

• Ability to lift materials consistent with job requirements
