About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Sustainable Finance to lead the vision, strategy, and direction of the Sustainable Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and leading the sustainable finance vision and strategy in alignment with the company's goals, maintaining a global perspective, and identifying emerging opportunities in sustainable finance, decarbonization, and climate risk reduction. This role requires a proven track record in leading high-performing teams, managing through ambiguity, and fostering a culture of collaboration. The Managing Director will also be tasked with developing and implementing creative financial strategies, managing the team budget, and engaging in fundraising efforts. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 12 years of experience in the financial sector. Global experience and a strong network within the finance ecosystem are essential. The role demands a leader with executive presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in the NGO sector is a bonus, but not required, provided the candidate is adaptable and mission-aligned. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in sustainable finance, with a deep understanding of financial instruments, and a proven ability to translate technical concepts into accessible messages for financial decision-makers.
