About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Public Policy (U.S.) to spearhead the formulation and implementation of its public policy and government affairs strategy. This senior executive will be pivotal in aligning policy priorities with business objectives, particularly in the areas of health data, clinical research, digital health, privacy, governance, and life sciences innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and leading the execution of the public policy strategy, serving as a strategic advisor on legislative and regulatory trends, and ensuring that the company's messaging is consistent and strategically aligned. Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with external stakeholders, leading advocacy efforts, and representing the company in various forums are also key aspects of the role. Applicants for the Vice President, Public Policy position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory strategy, with a strong background in healthcare and life sciences policy. The role requires a deep understanding of core areas such as clinical research, health innovation policy, health data governance, digital health, or AI in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of influencing policy outcomes at the national level, executive presence, and the ability to lead complex initiatives in a global, matrixed organization. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to manage relationships with high-level external stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree being preferred.
