The role requires a creative approach to fundraising, knowledge of the philanthropic landscape, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities with a focus on the mission of the organization. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should be ambitious, experienced, and creative, with a strong background in managing and supporting teams. The role demands a candidate with a B.A. degree, at least 12 years' of experience in development and fundraising, and a proven ability to meet annual fundraising targets of $17M or more. They should be adept at identifying and soliciting major gifts, and have experience in managing a fundraising team and engaging with a nonprofit board.
