About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Research Account Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers to drive retention and growth within a significant renewal pool. This role demands a leader with strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and the ability to coach the team on complex partner engagement and negotiations. The Managing Director will also be directly involved in supporting the most strategic, complex, or at-risk partnerships. Key responsibilities include revenue and pipeline management, skilled negotiation, partner knowledge, and engagement, as well as internal collaboration to strengthen partner relationships and improve business outcomes. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10-12 years' of professional experience, with a background in sales, account management, partner success, or a related field. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in meeting financial goals, staff management, and coaching, as well as strong negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in the education sector or a B-to-B subscription-based content and services organization, and a deep understanding of industry and market trends. The role also demands a leader with the ability to build and maintain operating rhythms, and best practices, and to drive product and service strategy based on market feedback. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple priorities, and be committed to a culture of continual learning and fostering a dynamic, inclusive work environment.
