About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for its Conflicts Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all conflicts issues, both legal and business, in connection with the processing and acceptance of client engagements. This role is pivotal in assessing and directing the team responsible for the initial review of potential new engagements, ensuring that the conflicts process runs efficiently and maintaining the quality and consistency of the work. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in interactions with outside counsel and clients, particularly in managing and addressing any potential or perceived conflicts. Applicants must have a JD degree from an accredited law school, a minimum of 5-8 years of broad-based legal experience, and significant litigation experience. The role requires a candidate with superior intellect, the ability to think critically, and strong, pragmatic business acumen. Excellent communication, advocacy, and influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to interact with senior management, professionals, and external stakeholders.
