About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Partnerships Officer (CPO) to lead its executive fundraising strategy and revenue scaling efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising framework to support the organization's mission-driven media network. This includes managing a specialized funder portfolio, pitching major funders nationally, and inspiring through experimental proof points. The CPO will also be tasked with internal leadership, overseeing and mentoring the development team, and ensuring that the organization's values of inclusive leadership and cultural humility are upheld in all external relationships. The role demands a deep commitment to advancing equity, particularly in the context of BIPOC and low-income communities, and the ability to champion anti-racism and distributed leadership in both external and internal strategies. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive fundraising or executive leadership experience, with a strong preference for those who have held senior roles in similar organizations. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in managing institutional funder portfolios and securing significant funding. A deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to translate digital media metrics into compelling narratives is essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional public speaking skills, a strong public presence, and a personal commitment to the values of the organization. Experience in team management, particularly in a values-driven, mid-to-large scale non-profit environment, is a plus.
