About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice Chancellor of Medical Advancement to provide strategic fundraising leadership and direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of frontline fundraisers, carrying a personal portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects, and developing innovative strategies for philanthropic support. This role involves close partnership with executive faculty and institutional leaders to align fundraising priorities with academic and clinical objectives, as well as to advance enterprise-wide campaign goals. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will also be involved in the Grateful Patient Engagement program and will serve on the Medical Advancement Senior Leadership Team. Candidates for the Assistant Vice Chancellor position should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of work experience in a higher education, preferably in a complex university environment. A Master's degree is preferred. The role requires a deep appreciation for the mission and aspirations of the medical school, significant experience in a matrixed academic medical center setting, and a proven track record in major gift fundraising. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be adept at donor stewardship, and fundraising strategies. They should be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
