Direct Counsel is seeking a Structured Finance Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina or New York City.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 2-8 years of structured finance experience to join a nationally recognized Structured Finance practice. The team advises on some of the market's most innovative and sophisticated transactions, with a particular focus on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), asset-based lending, and middle-market leveraged finance.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on the structuring, execution, and closing of Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions.
Represent arrangers, managers, investors, and issuers in middle-market and broadly syndicated loan CLO transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for structured finance and leveraged lending matters.
Advise clients on regulatory and compliance issues affecting structured finance transactions.
Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary legal teams.
Provide practical, business-focused legal advice throughout all stages of complex structured finance transactions.
Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented practice focused on delivering exceptional client service.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in a U.S. state bar and eligibility to practice in the applicable office jurisdiction.
2-8 years of structured finance experience, with significant exposure to CLOs, asset-based lending, and/or middle-market leveraged loans.
Law firm experience handling sophisticated structured finance transactions.
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent client service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Highly motivated with strong academic credentials.
Salary: $235,000-$435,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
