About the Role

The Company is in search of a pragmatic, business-minded Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. This high-impact role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in commercial contracting, who can independently lead the negotiation of a wide range of agreements and partner closely with various business teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and practical legal advice, serving as a primary legal partner for strategic initiatives, and leading legal support for enterprise deals. Additionally, the role involves developing and improving legal processes, monitoring legal and regulatory developments, and supporting the company's growth in a compliant and scalable manner. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. from an accredited law school, active membership in at least one U.S. state bar, and approximately 6+ years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracting. The role requires a candidate with excellent judgment, the ability to manage a high volume of matters, and a collaborative, low-ego approach. Strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a proactive attitude towards building a strong legal function are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in SaaS, technology, privacy, and data protection issues, and experience with marketplaces, payments, or retail relationships is particularly valuable.
