Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets – Securitization & Structured Finance Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina; New York, New York; or Washington, D.C.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3+ years of structured finance experience to join a nationally recognized Securities & Public Company Advisory practice. The team advises clients on sophisticated securitization and structured finance transactions across a broad range of asset classes, providing associates with significant responsibility, client interaction, and exposure to complex capital markets matters.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in securitization, structured finance, and structured products transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for complex capital markets transactions.
Advise clients on the structuring, execution, and closing of securitization and structured finance deals.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on securities and finance matters.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary legal teams throughout all phases of transactions.
Assist with transaction management, due diligence, and closing coordination.
Support sophisticated financing matters involving multiple asset classes and financing structures.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in a U.S. state bar.
3+ years of substantial law firm experience in one or more of the following areas:
Securitization
Structured finance
Structured products
Corporate finance
Real estate finance
Experience with CLOs, CMBS, repurchase (repo) transactions, or asset-based lending (ABL) is a plus.
Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage sophisticated transactions while working collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Salary: $260,000-$435,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
