Duties

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software to illustrate mechanical components and assemblies.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals.
• Conduct design reviews, analyze mechanical performance, and iterate designs based on feedback and testing results.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Support prototyping efforts by providing design modifications and troubleshooting issues during testing phases.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols.
• Maintain organized records of design revisions, calculations, and related documentation for easy access and future reference.
• Use 3D scanning equipment to document field conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.
• Must have proven experience as a mechanical designer.
• Proven experience in mechanical design or engineering with proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Petro Chemical experience is desired.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges creatively.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present ideas clearly.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME or ISO is preferred but not required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field is highly desired.
