Overview
Del Sol Solutions is hiring a Janitorial Field Supervisor for an important commercial facilities contract in the Galveston area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in clean buildings, strong teams, and consistent service.
The right person will supervise janitorial staff, inspect work, document completed tasks using our inspection and reporting systems, communicate issues, and help make sure the property is clean, safe, and ready for the client every day. This role requires reliability, leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in the field with the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the janitorial team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed properly and on schedule.
• Inspect buildings, parking lots, parking garages, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Keep assigned areas clean and orderly, including heavy-duty cleaning, routine cleaning, debris removal, and pressure washing as needed.
• Manage trash and debris removal from buildings, parking lots, and parking garages.
• Document completed work, inspections, issues, and follow-up items using our inspection/checklist software, including timestamped photos of completed projects.
• Use the client's ticketing system to log, track, and close out service requests and issues in a timely manner.
• Train, coach, and support janitorial team members to maintain high standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding expectations, supplies, staffing, maintenance issues, and service concerns.
• Report needed repairs, safety concerns, equipment issues, and maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with building security and safety duties, including checking and locking doors and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and properly use cleaning tools, chemicals, equipment, supplies, and pressure washing equipment; serve as, or actively work toward becoming, a subject matter expert on our equipment.
• Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition, reporting any needed service promptly.
• Help cover work when needed to ensure the contract is fully serviced.
Qualifications
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as a TWIC card, through a successful background check.
• Prior supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to lead people, inspect work, correct issues, and communicate professionally.
• Comfortable using mobile or tablet-based inspection, checklist, and ticketing software, or able to learn quickly.
• Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to respond quickly to service issues, call-outs, and changing needs.
• Must be dependable, professional, and willing to be hands-on.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies, with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert on equipment use and care.
• Experience with pressure washing and safe equipment operation.
• Experience with digital inspection, checklist, or ticketing/work-order platforms.
• Experience supervising janitorial, custodial, facilities, housekeeping, grounds, or landscaping crews
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
