We're Hiring: Senior Finance Manager – Real Estate
Growing real estate nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and accounting functions that support our real estate portfolio and community development initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic finance professional who enjoys partnering across departments, improving processes, and contributing to mission-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance for real estate assets and enterprise entities.
- Develop, review, and maintain acquisition pro formas, financial models, cash flow analyses, and valuation models.
- Partner closely with Real Estate Development and Property Management teams to support acquisitions, financing, and operational decision-making.
- Oversee debt management, banking relationships, audits, tax schedules, grants and contract reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and optimize financial systems and reporting.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop 2 finance team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or people management experience.
- Experience with Yardi accounting/property management systems is required.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with a strong understanding of GAAP, real estate finance, and data analytics.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
