<h1>Maintenance Technician | St. Louis, MO</h1><h2>Position Summary</h2><p >We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and equipment upgrades.</p><p>The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with industrial machinery, and a commitment to safety, quality, and minimizing production downtime.</p><p>Machinery may include: presses, material laminator, dye cutters, extrusion blow molds, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, vacuum systems, grinders, conveyors, robots, etc.</p><p><strong>Pay: </strong>$28 - $35 per hour (depending on experience)</p><h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2><ul data-spread="false"><li>Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility support systems</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and control system issues</li><li>Inspect, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation</li><li>Diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals</li><li>Calibrate, adjust, and modify machinery as needed to maintain optimal performance</li><li>Support installation, startup, and improvement of new or existing equipment</li><li>Perform minor electrical repairs and assist with more advanced electrical troubleshooting</li><li>Maintain support equipment such as air compressors, chilled water systems, conveyors, grinders, pumps, vacuum systems, and material handling equipment</li><li>Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks</li><li>Complete maintenance records, work orders, and parts documentation accurately</li><li>Coordinate with production personnel to minimize downtime and address equipment concerns</li><li>Assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective and preventive actions</li><li>Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintenance best practices</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul data-spread="false"><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Technical degree, certification, or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical technology, or a related field <em>preferred</em></li><li>Minimum of 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and automated machinery</li><li>Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation</li><li>Experience using diagnostic and measurement tools, including multimeters, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related equipment</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance tracking systems preferred</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li></ul><h2>Preferred Experience</h2><ul data-spread="false"><li>Industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair</li><li>PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems</li><li>Hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, compressed air, water systems, injection molding, extrusion, printing, converting, packaging, or similar manufacturing equipment</li><li>Welding and light fabrication</li><li>Operation of machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and band saws</li><li>Forklift and material handling equipment operation</li><li>Preventative maintenance programs and work order management systems</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements</h2><ul data-spread="false"><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work in varying positions throughout the shift</li><li>Ability to work around moving machinery and in a manufacturing environment</li></ul><h2>What We're Looking For</h2><ul data-spread="false"><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail</li><li>Dependable and safety-focused work ethic</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently</li><li>Positive attitude and willingness to learn</li><li>Commitment to equipment reliability, quality, and continuous improvement</li></ul><p>Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.</p><p>#STARMO</p>PandoLogic.
