Position: Mechanical Technician
Location: Vernal, UT
Pay: $24.00–$26.00/hour
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our client's team in the oil and gas industry. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment, performing production tree and valve assembly, conducting equipment testing, and supporting maintenance operations to improve reliability, efficiency, and on-time equipment delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment in accordance with the established maintenance program and reliability-centered maintenance strategy.
• Record labor, materials, supplies, and equipment maintenance history in Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase asset utilization and reduce service delivery costs.
• Perform production tree assembly, valve assembly, and equipment testing.
• Operate torque tools and test pumps during assembly and validation processes.
• Follow company maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Support maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Experience with production tree assembly, valve assembly, and equipment testing.
• Hands-on experience using torque tools and test pumps.
• Oil and gas industry experience required.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to follow detailed maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Local candidates within one hour of Vernal, UT preferred due to scheduling flexibility.

Additional Information

• PPE provided, including coveralls, hard hat, safety glasses, and work boots.
• Required NEST/SIPP training will be provided in Kellyville, OK.
