About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Retail Operations and Course Materials to lead two of its most critical initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving year-on-year bottom-line growth across the retail operations of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and leading the transformation of physical course materials operations. This senior role requires a strong people influencer with a data-driven approach, a highly experienced leader in course materials and campus retail, and a candidate with excellent P&L management and inventory skills. The VP will be tasked with optimizing sales, COGS, payroll, and OpEx to ensure efficiency and profitability, as well as building and developing a new course materials vertical across all stores. Key responsibilities for the VP include managing the KCTCS P&Ls, providing detailed customer-level strategies, and leading programs to automate and optimize retail processes. The role also involves introducing new roles, structures, processes, and systems for the forecasting, ordering, and returns of physical course materials, as well as defining KPIs and OKRs to measure performance. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, capable of building excellent relationships across the retail and digital business, and will be willing to travel extensively to learn about and improve course material operations. The company is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
