A premier publicly traded global financial services firm, is seeking an accomplished Director, Corporate Accounting to join its world class finance organization known for investing in exceptional talent and promoting internal growth.

*$190-$240K Total Comp (base + full annual bonus) *

As the organization continues its impressive growth, this role will play a critical part in strengthening the corporate accounting function, enhancing financial processes, and ensuring a best-in-class control environment.

Working closely with executive finance leadership, you will oversee key areas of corporate accounting while helping shape the future of the department through automation, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, expense allocations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and strengthen a robust SOX 404 internal control environment.
  • Prepare financial analyses, variance reporting, and executive-level reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee corporate operating expenses and ensure proper accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
  • Lead the quarterly G&A expense forecasting process.
  • Analyze financial data and business trends to provide meaningful insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage and develop both onshore and offshore accounting teams across multiple time zones.
  • Partner with external auditors, internal audit, and tax teams throughout the audit and reporting cycle.
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, capital transactions, accounting projects, and finance transformation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, investor relations, and business leaders to support internal reporting and special projects.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical accounting guidance across the broader accounting organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA designation required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience within financial services or investment management is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools to improve workflow efficiency is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
