HVAC Install Manager

HVAC Install Manager - Job located in Lorton, VA

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, with occasional weekend availability required

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Install Manager to oversee a team of 6 install crew members. This role is approximately 80% office based and 20% field based, combining hands on leadership with oversight of installation operations, scheduling, and crew development.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
• Evaluate workload and schedule installation work to best utilize manpower and maximize profitability
• Create and manage departmental budgets
• Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs
• Schedule repairs for parts to minimize down time in job completion
• Conduct research and participate in marketing efforts for the department
• Generate reports and review them with management
• Track and measure departmental operations, including records on inventory, tools, and vehicles
• Instruct crews on proper use of materials and quality workmanship
• Review payroll records to ensure technicians are paid properly
• Ensure employees have proper tools for the job and that they are well maintained
• Assist with dispatching to ensure the right technician is selected for the type of job
• Evaluate staff to determine training needs and provide on the job training and support
• Manage and develop install staff, including hiring, scheduling, setting priorities, conducting meetings, counseling, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments
• Motivate the team and foster strong morale and performance
• Build strong customer service and people skills across the crew
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in HVAC service, including 2+ years of HVAC management experience
• Working knowledge of gas piping, electricity, plumbing, and airflow
• Strong supervisory, communication, computer, and mathematical skills
• Great attitude with a dedication to quality work
• Customer service oriented with strong people skills
• Ability to motivate and lead a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Must pass background check and drug test
