Accounting Technician II

This is a Time-Limited position that will serve as an Accounting Technician/Data assigned to the Center for Lifespan Health and Wellness/MS- BCCP. Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Examines and verifies complex forms, reports, or records for accuracy and completeness.
• Pursues missing or incomplete documentation from providers promptly.
• Keys patient encounter assessment, diagnosis, claims, payment requests, and other data into the Catalyst database.
• Prepares generated payment requests from Catalyst, attach with the claims to be entered and uploaded into the sandbox of the F&A accounting software system for payment to the Fee-For Service Providers.
• Promptly sends refund checks to F &A to be deposit to program account.
• Completes deliverables assigned from program/grant work plan(s) and routinely reports on results.
• Manage assignments assigned by supervisor and other duties as assigned regarding billing and reimbursement procedures.

• Skills in medical record review, data entry, filing, presentation/slideshow development, teaching/education, public speaking, networking/collaboration, responsive/timely customer service, claims adjustment practices, medical billing/coding/CPT, accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 1-3 years of experience.
