About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for its Specialty Alliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support in a wide range of complex legal matters, with a focus on commercial, corporate securities, intellectual property, labor and employment, and regulatory law. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to business team members, managing healthcare legal matters, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and industry standards. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in contract drafting and negotiation, supporting due diligence on mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to provide legal guidance. Applicants must have a J.D. and a license to practice law, with a preference for those with 8+ years of experience in a large, complex, in-house setting or AM LAW 100 law firm. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in commercial and healthcare law, particularly in areas such as Stark, Corporate Practice of Medicine, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, and HIPAA. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle a high-volume workload, and a proven track record of providing practical and sound legal judgment. Management experience, business acumen, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also essential.
