Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

• No previous experience allowed for Part-Time at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Two years of actively doing echocardiograms preferred.

Required Credentials: A.R.D.M.S./C.C.I. registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required.

Preferred Credentials: Two-year allied health education program that is patient care related preferred. Allied health occupations include diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and/or registered nurse.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Unit Details: Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams. Assists cardiologists with exam dictation, M-mode measurements, and other cardiac procedures as needed. Role includes scheduling exams, transporting patients, answering phones, entering billing information, logging exams, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment quality control.

Shift & Scheduling: Shares responsibility for on-call coverage for echo emergency exams outside regular working hours as established by department policy.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS, ACS, CI
