About the Role

The Company is seeking a Manager of Derivatives Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing GAAP and STAT accounting close, financial reporting, and financial analytics related to the company's derivatives portfolio. This role involves close collaboration with the company's third-party investment accounting service provider and asset managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of investment accounting records. The Manager will also work with the reporting team to ensure appropriate GAAP and STAT reporting and disclosures, and with finance to support the analysis and communication of investment results. Key duties include serving as a subject matter expert on accounting and reporting for derivatives, managing the relationship with the third-party accounting vendor, and providing oversight and development to junior staff. Applicants for the Manager of Derivatives Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a preference for a Certified Public Accountant. A minimum of 6-10 years' of experience, including at least 4 years in derivatives accounting and/or the insurance industry, is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in US GAAP and statutory accounting principles, and experience with Clearwater Analytics or a third-party investment accounting model is preferred.
