About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff for AfroTech and Live Events to play a pivotal role in the execution of its programs. This generalist and people management position is at the heart of the company's mission to enable the community to tell its own stories. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking AfroTech programs from concept to execution, including all aspects of the go-to-market plan, and will lead a team across various functions such as content and creative operations, event and membership marketing, and social distribution. The role demands a high level of versatility, with the ability to move seamlessly between marketing, operations, and program design, and a strong focus on driving registrations, ticket sales, and community engagement. Applicants must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in go-to-market, program management, growth or event marketing, business operations, or a chief of staff role, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, comfortable with ambiguity, and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Experience in a media, community, culture, or creator-led brand is preferred, as is familiarity with event and ticketing platforms. The role requires a candidate who is independent, energetic, and culturally conscious, with excellent communication skills and a deep appreciation for the values and interests of the community.
