About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Data to lead the unification and advancement of its data capabilities. This senior leadership role is pivotal in defining and executing an integrated data strategy that encompasses analytics, reporting, data science, machine learning, and AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's data function operates as a coherent ecosystem, with a focus on delivering data products and predictive models that enhance outcomes for individuals in crisis. Key duties include serving as the senior data executive, advising on data and AI capabilities, and managing the departmental roadmap. The role also involves leading the data governance council, owning the budget for the data function, and overseeing the development and deployment of machine learning models. Applicants for the AVP, Data position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in analytics, data science, or data leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior capacity. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required, with a Master's degree or higher preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building enterprise data infrastructure and applied AI/ML programs, particularly in complex, regulated environments. Executive-level experience in defining and executing integrated data strategies, deep expertise in modern data stack technologies, and a strong command of data science and machine learning are essential. The role demands a leader with a demonstrated commitment to advancing health equity analytics, inclusive data practices, and responsible AI adoption, as well as the ability to translate complex data and AI concepts for a diverse range of stakeholders.
