About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Technical Accounting to join its Corporate Accounting leadership team. The successful candidate will be the firm's technical accounting expert and strategic business partner, responsible for advising on the accounting implications of various business activities, leading technical accounting research for complex transactions, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and disclosure requirements. This role also involves evaluating transaction structures, recommending accounting solutions, and driving process improvements through automation and technology. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation, a Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master's degree a plus), and over 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in the financial services industry. Applicants for the Vice President of Technical Accounting position at the company should possess a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and executive presence. The role requires the ability to communicate highly technical accounting matters to both executive leadership and non-accounting stakeholders, as well as experience in mentoring and developing accounting professionals.
