About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Real Estate Accounting to lead the accounting operations for a high-value real estate investment portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with industry standards, as well as collaborating with investment teams to optimize acquisitions, dispositions, and capital restructures. This role involves analyzing financial metrics, engaging with external auditors and tax professionals, and preparing financial materials for stakeholders. The VP will also manage outsourced accounting staff, drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration within the accounting team. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, a CPA certification, and at least 8 years of experience in real estate accounting. Extensive knowledge of GAAP and fair value reporting standards is essential, as is proven expertise in managing complex real estate investment structures and agreements. The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to manage outsourced staff and meet strict deadlines.
