About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Development in Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be the lead fundraiser for the region, responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and managing a portfolio of donors who are committed to the mission of ensuring all children have access to an equitable and excellent education. This role involves setting and executing a long-term vision and strategy to achieve development goals for both public and private funding, with a focus on maximizing giving and playing a key role in new donor strategy and acquisition. The Managing Director will work closely with Executive Directors, regional advisory board members, and other front-line fundraisers to meet ambitious revenue targets and will be expected to maintain comprehensive donor information and leverage it to track progress and adjust strategies as needed. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of experience in a development and fundraising context, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals. The role requires a specialist in fundraising and development, with expertise in relationship building, portfolio management, and a deep understanding of best practices in the field. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled relationship builder, adept at managing a diverse portfolio of donors, and will have experience in navigating complex philanthropic landscapes.
