About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Development to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a results-driven fundraising strategy and donor engagement program that aligns with the organization's mission and ensures long-term financial sustainability. This role requires a deep understanding of nonprofit philanthropy, including annual giving, major and planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, and membership programs. The Vice President, Development will work closely with the Chief Advancement Officer, Board leadership, and other stakeholders to build and maintain philanthropic relationships, grow revenue, and foster a culture of philanthropy. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, fund development, team leadership, and oversight of stewardship and operations. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 12 years' of experience in leading development and fundraising programs, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential is strongly preferred. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, a relationship builder, and a data-driven decision-maker, with the ability to manage a team and mentor staff. Experience with donor/member database systems and a strong proficiency in the MS Office platform are essential. The position requires a high level of energy, self-motivation, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
