Low Voltage Technician

Location: Greater Portland Metro Area

Compensation: $28 - $35 per hour, DOE

We’re hiring Telecom Field Technicians! We’re in need of Travel Techs that have reliable transportation and like providing speedy and efficient customer service. This position will be providing service in full office set up, existing clients troubleshooting needs, and most specifically assisting with rolling out updates across multiple networks. You will be working in commercial work environment, not residential.

This is a Direct Hire role, no waiting period to become a full time member of the team. Individual transportation is required as this is a travel position that will cover the Greater Portland Metro Area.

Shift: Days, schedule will vary depending on job and location.

Job Requirements: ‪

• 2 years minimum experience in low voltage or telecom
• Wiring, set up, install of networks: Cat5E, CAT6, Coax, Wireless & Analog
• Understanding of configurations and network infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of cable and jack repair
• TCP/IP, Routers, WAPs, Wireless, and other networking devices
• Reliable personal vehicle, Laptop, own cable tools, Ladder
• No Dial Tone phone system troubleshooting
• Oregon Low Voltage License LE -A or LE B

Job Duties:

• Apply skills described above to resolve clients’ issues
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, network issues & peripherals
• Helping end users understand software & hardware
• Travel to multiple clients per week around the Greater Portland Area
