This is a journeyman-level position built for a technician who can work independently, manage their own service truck and parts inventory, and represent Haaker professionally in front of customers every day. You will be trusted to diagnose complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, deliver accurate field reports, and keep customers informed, all without someone looking over your shoulder.

If you take pride in your work, can read a schematic as easily as you turn a wrench, and want to be part of a third-generation company that treats its people right, this is the role for you.

• Operate independently in the field with minimal supervision, managing your schedule and priorities daily

• Perform and document pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain up-to-date log books when operating commercial vehicles

• Load your service truck with the correct parts and materials before heading to each job

• Interface professionally with customers on-site, provide field service reports, and communicate job status before leaving each location

• Notify the Service Foreman or Service Advisor of any complications, additional work needed, or timeline changes

• Inspect customer equipment to identify additional repair needs and create accurate parts lists and labor estimates

• Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines

• Follow factory warranty procedures, including saving and tagging parts as required

• Keep your service vehicle clean, organized, and fully equipped at all times

• Use an iPad to document time, repair work, and job completion

• Stay current on factory training, technical service bulletins, and product updates

• Perform shop-based repairs when field work is complete

• Follow all company safety policies and report any incidents or hazards to your manager immediately

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings

• Experience performing field service work independently at customer sites

• Strong customer-facing communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to manage parts inventory and work order documentation

• Experience using tablets or digital tools for field documentation (iPads, work order apps, etc.)

• Must have and maintain a clean, valid driver's license

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, under vehicles, and in varying outdoor conditions

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

• 2 to 5 years of mechanical experience on floor scrubbers, industrial cleaning equipment, or other industrial equipment

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, candidates with bilingual skills are strongly encouraged to apply
