About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel, Commercial to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a senior legal leader and strategic business partner, with a focus on supporting the global commercial organization. This role is pivotal in leading the legal strategy for complex enterprise transactions, shaping go-to-market initiatives, and building the legal infrastructure to support the company's rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of at least one U.S. state bar, and have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, with a strong background in commercial law, particularly in the technology sector. Experience in AI, cloud infrastructure, or related technical products is highly preferred. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel, Commercial include leading strategic commercial transactions, advising on international expansion, and providing guidance on legal issues in the AI and technology landscape. The role also involves building and scaling the commercial legal function, mentoring junior legal professionals, and driving cross-functional partnerships. The candidate should have a proven track record of negotiating complex agreements, exceptional business judgment, and the ability to provide practical, risk-balanced advice. A collaborative, low-ego, and execution-oriented approach is essential, as is the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The position requires a professional who is comfortable with the demands of a hypergrowth company and is adept at managing evolving priorities.
