Journeyman Electrician

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team of professionals in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

Requirements

· Ability to communicate in English. Spanish a plus.

· At least 10 years of documented experience as a commercial electrician.

· Solid working knowledge of commercial and electrical systems.

· Ability to work independently, with no supervision.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Hardworking and a team player with a desire to continually learn and improve their skill-set.

· Ability to carry heavy tools.

· Being reliable and on-time.

· Having basic electrician tools.

Responsibilities:

· Perform all necessary installations and maintenance with minor supervision

· Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner

· Follow specifications on blueprints/diagrams/technical drawings for installations

· Conduct all repairs and installations according to code

· Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines

· Maintain a neat and organized work environment

· Maintain a stock of common materials in your service vehicle

· Ensure that all tools and equipment are functioning properly
Responsibilities:

• Install and repair electrical distribution equipment and light fixtures
• Install various types of raceways and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and lighting control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes.

• Previous experience in the electrical construction industry
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
• Good references
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
