About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President/Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy to lead its engagement with U.S. policymakers and regulators on issues related to the company and digital assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the company's government affairs and public policy strategy, with a focus on digital assets, capital markets, tax, and related financial and regulatory topics. This senior role requires a professional with a strong background in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the financial services, capital markets, fintech, or digital assets sectors. The VP/Director will be the primary point of contact for key regulators, members of Congress, and other stakeholders, and will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships, monitor and influence regulatory initiatives, and advocate for policy positions that support the company's objectives. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a JD or advanced degree. A minimum of 12 years of experience for the VP level and 7-12 years for the Director level is required, with a proven track record of working with or within federal agencies and/or Congress. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes, particularly in the areas of securities, commodities, tax, and financial regulation. Experience in drafting and advocating for legislation, regulatory proposals, and formal policy positions is essential. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a nonpartisan manner, and a strong network of relationships within the government and regulatory bodies.
