Mechanical Assembly Technician
Rock Hill, SC1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PMStarting Pay: $21.00/hour
A growing manufacturing operation is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technician to join its production team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and building equipment from the ground up.
The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
What You'll Do
Mechanical Assembly Technician
- Assemble, inspect, and test industrial equipment and components according to work instructions and specifications.
- Disassemble and repair mechanical equipment as needed.
- Diagnose assembly issues and help identify practical solutions.
- Read and follow production documentation, drawings, and procedures.
- Use pneumatic, electric, and manual tools safely and effectively.
- Track and report parts and material usage accurately.
- Operate material-handling equipment after receiving required training and certification.
- Work closely with team members to maintain quality standards and production schedules.
- Communicate process improvements, safety concerns, and operational challenges to leadership.
- Support additional production and maintenance activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Mechanical Assembly Technician
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with equipment, machinery, or mechanical assemblies.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform basic repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or industrial experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Mechanical Assembly Technician
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, bend, reach, and work in an active production environment throughout the shift.
- Safely operate equipment and machinery following established safety procedures.
