Switchboard Operator (PD Shift)

To operate the switchboard in a kind and courteous way and in a timely manner.

Take messages and deliver to proper place as quickly as possible

Understand all emergency procedures including codes, fire drills, disaster drill, bomb threats and infant abduction drill.

Must be able to retain composure in stressful situations

To handle all incoming and outgoing calls in a timely manner.

Know how to use the flash system and how to put out pages and digital and voice messages on pagers

Know all emergency procedures and who to call.

Know where to look for information

Help at whatever task is assigned to you at the board.

Take orders from your supervisor and report to her any information for which she is responsible.
