Systems Engineer PositionOn site daily in Rosslyn VA No certifications required although they are a plus Secret clearance to start to be upgraded to TS/SCI SSCM/MECM Experience required This is NOT a help desk role VMWare experience and Active Directory Experience required 4-5 years of experienceYou're a great fit if:Can fix anything like printers, scanners, workstations, etc....but mostly printers and workstations.You have pride in knowing that the people you support are leading America's foreign policy through diplomacy, advocacy, and assistance by advancing the interests of the American people, their safety and economic prosperity.You understand how to keep servers and workstations secure through patch management, security configuration and monitoring tools.You have experience with Active Directory that includes account management, security group management, access control management, and application-specific data managementYou're passionate about problem solving, providing the best resolutions in the shortest period possible, and providing superior customer supportRequirementsBachelors Degree in related field requiredYou have 5+ years of IT experienceActive Top Secret clearance, or Secret clearance eligible to obtain TS,requiredMicrosoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification plusITIL v3 Foundation certification plusMicrosoft Endpoint Configuration Management ExperienceYou have experience with Active Directory which includes creating, maintaining, transferring, and removing user accountsYou have strong knowledge of the Windows platform and can troubleshoot desktop issuesYou have experience with System Administration activities that include monitoring and management of system resources, monitoring and auditing system logs, backup and recovery, security, and managing operating systems.We'll REALLY love you if:You have experience with VMware Vsphere and troubleshooting virtual machines.You have knowledge of LAN/WAN networking including routers, switches and firewallsWhat your day will look like:You will review daily risk scores and take actions to address variabilities and compliance issues.Provide support to servers on multiple networks and classifications.You'll provide support for problem escalation beyond the first tier of help deskYou'll interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.You'll simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating problemsYou'll document and maintain procedure manuals
