Litigation AttorneyAmazon's legal department is looking for a smart, experienced, creative, and highly motivated litigator to help manage Amazon's worldwide portfolio of commercial and consumer litigation — including stockholder disputes, class action matters, and large multi-billion dollar cases. You'll advise attorneys and business leaders on litigation risks and develop strategies for the most complex matters in our portfolio.Key job responsibilities:Implement litigation strategySelect, manage, and improve the performance of outside counselAdvise leadership on a wide range of novel legal and business risks and opportunitiesWork with witnesses and data repositories to prepare for depositions and trialCoordinate with public policy and public relations teams on matters relating to litigationDesign and implement innovative processes that enable small teams to make high-velocity decisions at scaleProvide daily cross-functional leadership to stakeholders on legal problems involving contract, business tort, consumer protection, stockholder, real estate, transportation, advertising, privacy, class action, and First Amendment lawA day in the life:Advising attorneys and business leaders on litigation risks and novel legal issuesManaging a portfolio of complex litigation and working closely with outside counsel to develop and implement litigation strategiesIdentifying and mitigating legal risks to help avoid future litigationAbout the team:Join a collaborative and dynamic litigation team where excellence meets collegiality.
