Test EngineerThe primary purpose of this role is to conduct functional and regression tests on automated systems. This position will assist with the comprehensive testing of enhancements to new and existing software and systems, ensuring compliance with business practices and policies.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete regression tests of new and existing systems when new or modified functions are introduced.Conduct functional tests to ensure software works properly and interfaces correctly with other systems.Create and edit test cases in accordance with system requirements.Determine function problems by reviewing testing actions, results, and system outputs.Create, modify, and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases.Identify and analyze business and system requirements.Document problems, possible causes, and potential solutions.Work with programmers and analysts to assist in problem resolution.Certify that testing is complete and ready for production implementation.Develop and document procedures and training manuals for system changes.Maintain a complete testing log.Review user documentation for accuracy.Required QualificationsAbility to work independently and in a team environment.Experience in testing systems including various platforms.Knowledge of current technologies like HPE Unified Functional Testing software, HP ALM, JIRA.Experience in the financial industry and an understanding of operational and regulatory risks and controls.Experience with automated systems analysis, development, and testing procedures.Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Planning, organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of project lifecycles and management methodologies.Word processing and spreadsheet software skills.Preferred QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Technology or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Experience in automation testing.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
