Job TitleUnder the direction of the Internal Accounting Manager, the person will be part of the team whose responsibilities include setup and monitoring of PAT loans, reconciling various daily bank accounts, processing daily work log files – internal transfers, ACH, and wires; processing daily wire files; setup, monitor and administer Energy transactions and various other tasks as dictated by the department head.Essential Job FunctionsDaily processing of book transfers, ACH's and wire transfers from RECWeb Work log for various departments under multiple deadlines and constraints.Daily processing of internal money movements associated with voided checks, payment reversals and other like activity of the servicing portfolio.Pre-Authorized Transfer (PAT) setup and ongoing maintenance related to payment activity.Assist in the timely processing and funding of New Loans while working closely with closers to ensure funds are processed accurately.Daily balancing activity to insure cash and system processing equal prior to dayend cycling.Manage interaction with Corporate Accounting on issues concerning the General Ledger.Bank ReconciliationsDaily balancing of all incoming receipt accounts to insure proper resolution of unidentified recon items. Escalate stale recon items timely for resolution.Daily balancing of all outgoing disbursement accounts to insure proper resolution of unidentified recon items. Escalate stale recon items timely for resolution.Daily balancing of other clearing accounts, including NSF Account, CoreLogic/SLK Account, Cash Management Clearing, RESI Flood, and others as required.Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of various collection, escrow and reserve accounts.Daily monitoring of outstanding check register, clearing stale dated checks in a timely fashion.Interact with Corporate Accounting on issues concerning the General Ledger.Energy ServicingReview legal agreements to identify intended role and establishment of bank accounts per project.Process daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of various energy bank accounts.Process monthly, quarterly and "upon request" withdrawal requests per project via the RECWeb Work log process.Customer ServiceProvide quality and timely responses to all Internal Accounting customers (senior management, account managers, lenders, legal counsel, external banks, borrowers, title companies, etc.)Marginal or Peripheral FunctionsAssist other Internal Accounting Departments as requiredAssist peers in reconcilement issues/questions as requestedParticipate in special projects as needed; i.e. participate in the testing phase of upgrades, enhancements to the system, and auditsRequired SkillsStrong knowledge of Borrower Ownership structuresB.S. in Accounting, Finance or related business field and/or comparable experience or 5 years relevant job experience in banking/account/commercial mortgage servicingExcellent written/verbal communication skills, as well as a high degree of analytical skillsExcellent organizational skills, with ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and deadlinesDemonstrated organization, prioritization/detail-orientation skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred SkillsExperience in commercial mortgage loan accountingExperience in BankingMinimum 1-2 years' experience in commercial mortgage real estate lendingExperience in understanding various legal documents associated with commercial loansEfficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and email software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookTeam oriented and flexibleAnalyze issues and seek to improve and simplify work processesEquipment UsedPersonal Laptop Computer with Dual MonitorsStandard office equipment (fax machine, phone calculator, printer/scanner/copier)Training ProvidedOn-the-JobDesignated continuing education and related courses throughout the year (30 hours minimum annually)Compensation and BenefitsThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
