Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical Engineer IIWe are seeking a mechanical engineer drafter who combines technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Perform related mechanical analysis.Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.Work with both rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.Manage engineering projects.Required QualificationsEducation: A BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or an equivalent field is required.Experience: Candidates should have experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics, working with rapid prototype tooling, and utilizing production tooling. Experience in project management is also required.Technical Skills: Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting is necessary. Strong communication and writing skills are required.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Familiarity with thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.Knowledge of mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.Experience using engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.Location: Westborough, Massachusetts (Onsite)Compensation: $36 - $46 HourlyEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
