Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions, incorporating detailed patient histories and current physical assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all patient interactions, evaluations, treatment protocols, and discharge plans in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Adhere to productivity expectations while balancing the demands of patient care, ensuring all treatments are delivered punctually and effectively.
• Participate in organizational initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance health awareness and promote access to physical therapy services.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and clinical education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your interventions will be instrumental in facilitating patients' functional recovery and improving their quality of life. The diverse patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric individuals, each presenting unique rehabilitation goals and challenges.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of New York, with current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
