Work Environment

Located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, you will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists. Our facility is designed to create a welcoming and safe atmosphere where residents can receive the best possible care. Hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Patients: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, and functional limitations. You will generate customized treatment plans that cater to each patient's specific needs.
  • Provide Personalized Care: Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training to facilitate recovery and promote independence.
  • Monitor and Adjust Care Plans: Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as warranted to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Promote Wellness: Educate residents and their families about the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle, proper body mechanics, and effective home exercise routines to prevent injuries.
  • Collaborate: Work in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic care plans, sharing insights and treatment goals to enhance patient recovery pathways.
  • Document Progress: Maintain meticulous records of all treatments, patient progress, and rehabilitation outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility protocols.
  • Provide Family Support: Engage with families to provide updates on rehabilitation progress, equipping them with strategies to support their loved ones in their recovery journey.
  • Ensure Safety: Uphold a clean, safe, and supportive environment by adhering to all safety protocols, ensuring therapy areas are correctly equipped and maintained.
  • Manage a caseload averaging 7 patients per day, allowing for deep engagement and personalized attention for each individual.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with elderly residents who may exhibit a variety of physical limitations due to age-related conditions, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses. Your role is vital in facilitating their recovery, enhancing their mobility, and helping them regain independence in their daily activities.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Oregon.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting effectively with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team, adapting to the needs of residents and the goals of the department.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of professional experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within a rehabilitation or assisted living environment.
  • Experience in outpatient care settings will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with additional benefits including a retirement savings plan (401k options), health insurance, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
