Achilles Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physical Therapist to join our specialized orthopedic outpatient practice in Fairview, New Jersey. Achilles Sports Medicine is a premier outpatient physical therapy facility owned and operated by physical therapists. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care within a modern, state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine environment. Our mission is to foster recovery and enhance patient performance through dedicated support and innovative treatment methods. Our team consists of skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one licensed physical therapy assistant, all collaborating to provide optimal patient care.

Work Environment

Located in Fairview, NJ, our outpatient office is designed to create a welcoming and productive atmosphere for both patients and staff. The facility is well-equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and technologies, ensuring that our therapists can deliver exceptional care. You will work onsite, directly with patients in a collaborative environment that fosters learning and professional growth. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' physical therapy needs and set tailored treatment objectives.
• Manage a caseload effectively, primarily focusing on one patient per hour to ensure individualized attention and quality care.
• Implement treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise protocols.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required to optimize recovery and outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care delivered through our WebPT EMR software, maintaining detailed records to track advancements and outcomes.
• Educate patients on best practices for recovery, including strategies for injury prevention and lifestyle improvements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and share insights for comprehensive treatment.
• Encourage patients throughout their journey, helping them set and achieve realistic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse patient demographic, predominantly covered by private insurance, including active individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgical repair cases, and orthopedic conditions. We cater to patients of all ages, creating specialized rehabilitation plans that accommodate their unique needs and lifestyle demands. Your expertise will be instrumental in empowering patients to regain their strength, flexibility, and functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid New Jersey licenseas a Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• A clean professional record, with no disciplinary actions or issues relating to licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of rehabilitation methodologies.
• Ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols based on individual patient assessments.
• Proficient in the utilization of WebPT EMR software for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior expertise in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred, with a focus on hands-on treatment approaches.
• Experience in creating customized treatment plans that integrate wellness and fitness programs.
• A strong background in implementing evidence-based practice in physical rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
