Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in Fort Myers, Florida. The work setting is onsite, allowing our therapists to engage directly with patients in a supportive environment. Working hours are predominantly Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM, with a shorter shift on Friday. Our team-oriented atmosphere encourages collaboration among staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and screenings to assess the physical condition and needs of patients, utilizing both subjective feedback and objective measures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate the most effective physical therapy modalities and techniques in alignment with standard practices.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic procedures to aid in the rehabilitation of injuries, chronic diseases, and disabilities.
• Educate patients and their families about physical therapy, detailing treatment processes, goals, and expected outcomes to foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring high standards of patient care and consistent delivery of services across the team.
• Engage in outreach efforts and marketing strategies to promote our physical therapy programs and expand our referral network.
• Participate actively in departmental quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a wide range of patient demographics including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. Each patient is provided with personalized care, respecting their unique needs and experiences. Understanding the complexities of various age-related conditions and rehabilitation needs is crucial as you adapt treatment protocols to maximize effectiveness across diverse groups.

Qualifications

• A valid state Physical Therapist license is required.
• A Bachelor's or higher degree (Master's or DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, specifically within a rehabilitation or physical therapy environment.

Compensation and Benefits
