Work EnvironmentThis role is based onsite at our cutting-edge therapy center located in Morristown. The facility is designed to support an array of treatment modalities and includes specialized equipment to aid in rehabilitation. You will work primarily Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while achieving crucial patient care objectives. The supportive team culture fosters collaboration and teamwork among all staff, enhancing both professional development and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess orthopedic conditions to establish individualized treatment goals and strategies based on patient needs.
- Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour, allowing for focused, quality treatment and adequate documentation.
- Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing a variety of non-invasive therapeutic techniques tailored to enhance range of motion and mobility.
- Administer relevant physical therapy modalities, such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and patient education on wellness and prevention.
- Actively promote and advocate for a non-surgical approach to patient care, prioritizing the minimal use of medication.
- Regularly track and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as required to achieve best outcomes.
- Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them gain not just independence but also confidence in their abilities.
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and other therapists, to create holistic care plans.
- Stay current with best practices in physical therapy by participating in ongoing professional education and training.
Our practice predominantly caters to adults undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-operative recovery and management of chronic pain. We provide personalized care aimed at addressing individual goals and challenges, helping our patients regain functionality and improve their quality of life. Qualifications- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with no board or disciplinary actions on record.
- Expertise in manual therapy techniques and designing comprehensive exercise programs tailored to each patient's unique needs.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient care effectively.
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering cost-effective therapies that support patient goals.
- Behavioral competencies that include strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to motivate others are essential.
