Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, determining individual treatment needs based on clinical assessments.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies, ensuring that each plan aligns with the goals set forth in collaboration with the referring physician.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to help patients recover and regain functional abilities.
  • Educating patients and their caregivers about treatment processes, recovery expectations, and home exercise programs designed to support ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Meeting or exceeding minimum productivity targets while maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on a variety of patient populations, with a primary emphasis on orthopedic cases. You will have the opportunity to treat both adult and pediatric patients, as well as individuals with sports-related injuries. Building relationships with your patients will be key, fostering trust and encouraging motivation to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your insights into patient care will significantly impact their recovery journey, enabling them to return to their daily activities and passions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • A graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
  • Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, and adeptness in using clinical documentation software.
  • The ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients and provide empathetic support throughout their care.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy or specialized pediatric and neurologic rehabilitation will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and evidence-based clinical practices will strengthen your candidacy as well.
