Position Overview

Vista Therapy Group is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our Rehabilitation Center, you will be working onsite with a collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, speech therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing valuable insights related to each patient's continuum of care and rehabilitation journey.
  • Engage in direct patient care by implementing therapeutic interventions that are appropriate for a diverse population, ensuring adherence to our established customer service and care standards.
  • Document all evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical re-evaluations, effectively communicating changes to both patients and referring physicians.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, including PT aides, to enhance their clinical skills and ensure quality treatment delivery.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and quality improvement activities aimed at promoting wellness and rehabilitation services.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and contribute to staff training and educational programs to foster team development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will serve a diverse patient population, including post-operative recovery patients, individuals with chronic pain, neurological disorders, and those requiring rehabilitative care following injury or illness. Understanding and respecting cultural differences and adapting your approach appropriately is crucial to delivering effective care. You will engage with patients of all ages, providing a compassionate environment to support their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A current and valid State License in Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, additional certifications, or specialized training in areas such as neurological rehabilitation or geriatric physical therapy will be prioritized. Experience in an outpatient or acute care setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
