Work EnvironmentThis role is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Newark, New Jersey. Our onsite environment encourages teamwork and communication, allowing therapists to work closely with one another and coordinate care plans effectively. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a work-life balance that is essential for our staff's well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and define their rehabilitation goals.
- Develop detailed and individualized care plans that incorporate various treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise programs.
- Administer therapeutic interventions designed to restore movement and alleviate pain, utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Motivate and guide patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, providing education about their conditions and promoting adherence to treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Maintain meticulous records of patient treatments and outcomes while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and orthopedic conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges that require a compassionate and strategic approach to treatment, ensuring tailored care that leads to successful outcomes and improved quality of life.
Qualifications- A Master's degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- An active New Jersey state license to practice physical therapy.
- A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting.
- A clean professional record, with no board or disciplinary actions on your license.
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing impactful exercise programs.
Experience in an outpatient clinic is preferred, particularly within orthopedic practices. Familiarity with patients covered by private insurance will be advantageous, as this enables you to navigate the intricacies of various treatment protocols and insurance processes effectively.
Compensation and Benefits- A competitive annual salary in the range of $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
