Work Environment

The work setting for this role is an onsite rehabilitation center in Cape Coral, Florida, where you will collaborate closely with a team of skilled professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and rehabilitation equipment, enhancing the therapeutic experience for our patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, comprising 40 hours each week, providing a balanced life-work arrangement while allowing for weekends to recharge.

Key Responsibilities

As the Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical needs, and developing individualized treatment plans that align with those needs.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment strategies that promote recovery and improve physical function, using various modalities, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care, sharing insights and participating in case discussions to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Providing education and training for patients and their families regarding treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and strategies to manage conditions effectively.
• Monitoring patient progress against established goals and making adjustments to treatment plans as required to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Active Mobility PT primarily focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation, treating a diverse population that includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, post-operative patients, and individuals with chronic pain conditions. Our holistic approach ensures that every patient receives personalized care tailored to their specific functional limitations and recovery goals. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized institution, such as the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effectively engaging with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and general computer skills.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy, particularly those familiar with sports medicine or post-operative rehabilitation, will be viewed favorably. A demonstrated ability to build rapport and motivate patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
